Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Dunno mobile application and the dunno.es website (together, the "Service"), provided by Dunno Studio ("Dunno", "we"). By creating an account, using a live session, or otherwise accessing the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service (16 in the European Economic Area where local law requires). By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Your account

You can create an account with email and password, or via Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You may also use the Service in guest mode (live session) without creating an account.

3. License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Dunno app on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in violation of any applicable law.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where permitted by law.
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated means to access the Service, including collecting or republishing other people's public profiles or shared links.
• Upload content that is illegal, infringing, abusive, harassing, or sexually explicit involving minors.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity of the Service, including via denial-of-service attempts.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems.

5. User content

You may create lists of movies ("User Content"). You retain ownership of User Content. By making a list public or community-visible, you grant Dunno a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute it within the Service.

6. Publishing your profile and sharing links

Your profile is private unless you switch it on. If you do, we publish a page at dunno.es/u/<slug> carrying your username, your avatar and the sections you enable, and anyone with the address can open it without an account. Sharing a list or a watched film from the app mints a link at dunno.es/s/<token> that works the same way and expires after 48 hours.

• You decide what is published and you are responsible for it. Do not publish anything you are not free to publish, and remember that a username identifies you to anyone you send the link to.
• The licence in section 5 extends to displaying that content on dunno.es to visitors who have no account, for as long as you keep it published.
• You can withdraw it at any time: switching the profile off, or revoking a link, takes the page down immediately. Deleting your account removes both.
• Once a page has been public, copies may persist outside our control — in someone's screenshot, in a browser cache, or in a social network's link preview. We take our copy down; we cannot take down theirs.

7. Dunno Pro subscriptions

Dunno Pro is not on sale at the moment. No subscription can currently be purchased in the app, so nothing in this section is being charged for today. The section stays because the terms below are what applies if and when Pro is offered again.

Dunno Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription that removes advertising and unlocks additional features. Pricing, billing cycle, and applicable taxes are shown in the app before purchase.

• Subscriptions are sold by Google Play (Android) or Apple (iOS). Payments are processed by those stores under their own terms.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal.
• You can cancel at any time from Google Play / App Store settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; Pro features remain available until then.
• EU/UK right of withdrawal: by purchasing Dunno Pro you expressly request that we begin supplying the digital service immediately and acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once supply has begun (Directive 2011/83/EU Art. 16(m)). Refunds outside of this are governed by Google's and Apple's policies.

8. Advertising

The app is not showing ads at the moment. Advertising is switched off in the shipping builds, so no ad is served and no advertising identifier is read. If we switch it back on, what follows applies.

Where advertising is enabled and you are not a Pro subscriber, the Service displays advertising provided by Google AdMob. Ad personalisation is subject to the consent you provide via the in-app consent prompt.

9. Third-party content

Movie metadata, posters, and trailers are provided by The Movie Database (TMDB). Streaming availability is informational and may be inaccurate. Dunno is not affiliated with any streaming service.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, including the Dunno name, logo, and software, is owned by Dunno Studio and is protected by intellectual property laws. No rights are granted other than as expressly set out in these Terms.

11. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dunno shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with the Service. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) twenty euros (€20). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.

13. Termination

You can terminate your account at any time from the app (Profile → Account → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms. On termination your licence ends, your public profile and any shared links stop working, and we will delete your data subject to the Privacy Policy.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Disputes shall be brought before the competent courts of the consumer's place of residence within the European Union, or the courts of Madrid where the consumer is not an EU resident, in each case without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms. A material change is published on this page at least 14 days before it takes effect, carrying both dates at the top: the day it was published and the day it comes into force. Until that second date the previous version is the one that binds you. Where we are able to, we also flag the change inside the app, but this page is the channel we commit to. Continued use after the date a version takes effect constitutes acceptance.
